What’s the ideal diameter for a bamboo poles to be use in construction?
Its the additional support for the roof. Please state the diameter in 1:100 scale. Sorry for the trouble, thanks in advance.
Hey Dennis,
Your question is incomplete as far as how much load, how big the construction, etc. Black Timber bamboo can get as large as 10 or more inches in diameter. So, I have included a link to a site with many types of bamboo poles diameters and lengths.
Bamboo can bue use to make homes, sheds, furniture, floors, etc. It can be cut and used whole, or split and used in segments. You can bind several poles together to multiply the strength too. You can splice, laminate, extend, connect, join bamboo to perform a variety of support material functions.
And as for scale, take the size and convert it using your scale, not sure why you included that.
Below are a bunch of construction bamboo sites. There are a lot more – just do a Yahoo Search on “Bamboo Construction”. There is nothing simple about your question!
