I have a jar of bamboo shoots in chili oil. What do I eat them with?
Are there any simple recipes that use it? I’ve considered eating them on a hot dog (like sauerkraut) or on rice, but I’m not sure if that’d be good or not. I have no idea what to do with bamboo shoots in chili oil (or any other kind of bamboo shoots), but I have a jar and want to try it. Thanks!
Jenny-Lucky you…Bamboo shoots in chili oil are great. I love to eat them (room temp is fine) with a bowl of steaming rice. Or you can add them to stirfry dishes: Like Beef with Assorted Vegetables, or Shitake Mushrooms with Pork. I even like to stir them into hot bowls of Ramen soup or on the plain noodles.
