How far to plan Bamboo Plant?
I want to plant bamboo as they grow fast and want to sell to make furniture or make them or use them by myself. I would like to know how far should I be planting it and where can I buy those plants I want to grow them outside. I live in Town home I hope I can plan at least 2-3 Thank You in advance me doing this for saving earth.
I am a bamboo collector so I know enough on where to get bamboos online or trade for them. You should get a phyllostachys species if you live in zone 8A basically georgia and cooler. Phyllostachys Parvifolia, or Phyllostachys Bambusoides would be good furniture building bamboos. A good 8feet of spacing should be good enough. These are running bamboos, and some of them can be invasive while others are slower, but rhizome pruning, trenching, barriers, or tilling are ways of containing them. If you live in zone 8B or warmer you can grow tropical clumping bamboo which are not invasive at all. I’m in zone 6 and I have 12 outdoor bamboos, 10 of them running species. It is also good to start from a larger plant to get faster results.
